It seemed too good to be true, and so it was: Kid Cudi will not be performing in Doral this Friday night at La Covacha.
"The show promoted for May 20th in Miami is fake, dont fall for it," the rapper wrote on his Tumblr. "If you already bought tickets, you might wanna go pay somebody a visit cause they owe you your money back! Handle that!"
Whoopsies! Wha happen? According to a late-night statement from promotors Major Event Marketing, the mix-up is the result of Kid Cudi's management switch a while back. The show at The Cove is "canceled due to a miscommunication with Kid Cudi’s new management and them not upholding his prior management obligations," it read. "We are currently working with his new management on postponing the show and rescheduling it later after he returns from his tour."
So, perhaps, the show will eventually go on. But in the meantime, any lonely stoner who purchased a ticket is promised a refund.
